"The focus of Iyengar yoga on how to do each pose correctly has helped me to successfully do a pose without injuries or pain.  Iyengar yoga teaches one how to do the pose correctly in stages so I can start small, build a strong base and then try the next step of the pose.  I can slowly learn a pose and learn modified ways of doing a pose so that I can feel successful.  In this way it has helped to strengthen my muscles (especially in my back).  Another benefit I have found from the yoga is its ability to calm and relax me, thus reducing my stress and it seems to have helped to improve my over all health."

Nadine Sims is an excellent teacher of Iyengar Yoga. Some of the benefits of doing yoga with her are:

2. She teaches modifications for each pose so that anyone can be successful in each pose.
3. Keeps the focus on the yoga during class time so that you also keep your focus on the yoga.
